Check whether your data has leaked
VulnPulse never receives your email address or passwords. Check directly with the services below.
Email address: Have I Been Pwned
Enter your email address on Have I Been Pwned to check for free whether it appears in breach data that has been published or traded, and which services it leaked from. It is run by security researcher Troy Hunt, and since 2021 the FBI has contributed passwords it finds in its investigations. Sign up for "Notify me" to get an email when your address shows up in a new breach.
Passwords: Google Password Checkup
If you save passwords in your Google Account or Chrome, Password Checkup lists passwords that have leaked, that you reuse, or that are easy to guess, and suggests changing them. Use Security Checkup to review signed-in devices and 2-Step Verification too.
On iPhone and Mac, "Security Recommendations" in the Passwords app (Settings › Passwords on older systems) shows leaked passwords in the same way.
If your data has leaked
- Change the password for that service, and for every other service where you reused it
- Turn on 2-step verification or set up a passkey
- Don't open links in emails or texts that ask you to "confirm" something about the breach; sign in from the official app or a bookmark instead
- If you see unauthorized sign-ins or lose money, contact the police. In Japan, use the National Police Agency's cybercrime consultation desks
Avoid typing a password itself into a checking website; the checking features of a password manager are safer.
